We are coming into the second week of August and prime Lake Michigan King Salmon season is starting. Every year in mid to late August and early September mature Chinook Salmon return to the Grand River in Grand Haven, Michigan to go up river and spawn. This is the best time of year to catch a trophy salmon and this year has already produced some very big salmon.
