The Danel is an 1985 Trojan 33 completely restored and updated in 2019. This boat has twin 454 big block motors, GPS, radar and has been providing great experiences for decades.
The DownTime is an 1998 Wellcraft 33 completely restored in 2021. This boat has twin 454 big block motors and is fully outfitted with GPS, radar and all the necessities for big lake fishing.
Our Fishing Destinations
Our fishing charters will be fished in all depths of Lake Michigan as well as in the Grand River depending on water temperature and spawning patterns. We will be trolling and typically run up to 14 lines at a time at different depths and with different baits depending on what species of fish we are targeting.
Our Professional Crew
Captain Brenden Moat
Captain Brenden grew up on the waters of Lake Michigan, fishing has been a hobby since he was just a boy using an ugly stick in a bass pond. Brenden decided to pursue his passion and has been working for the company since he was 15. Brenden holds a USCG 50 ton Masters license. He runs the Danel during the summer while he is home from Kalamazoo College where he is pursuing a degree in business management, he also plays football for the Hornets.
Captain Brian has been salmon fishing since he was 8 years old and would fish for them in a rowboat with his mother. Captain Brian started the journey to becoming a professional fisherman later in life and has worked side by side with Captain Dana Bonney since 2010. Captain Brian understands the importance of the whole experience and has a passion for sharing our beautiful Lake Michigan fishery with charter guest and is especially fond of taking children fishing. Captain Brian currently holds a USCG 100 Ton Masters License with towing endorsement.
